China’s leading set-top box OEMs/ODMs Shenzhen SDMC Technology launches a new quad
core 4K TV Box.
SDMC (NEEQ Stock
Code: 430755) has launched its new quad-core H.265 Android set-top box. Known
as the DV7810-T2/S2/IS, it has been specifically developed for the 4K UHD needs
and allows for the reception of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T2, and DVB-ISDB signals.
This new quad
core Android Hybrid TV box is ideal for telecommunication and broadcasting
network operators who want to efficiently deliver advanced 4K video services as
well as content be protected. SDMC 's new Hybrid STB supports Conditional Access (CA) and Digital Rights
Management (DRM), enabling the delivery of content from CA to an DRM streaming to
protect the rights of content providers.
The SDMC new quad-core
H.265 Android set-top box incorporates a complete suite of services including
Live TV, over-the-top (OTT), Terrestrial Broadcast/ Integrated Services Digital
Broadcast/Satellite Broadcast, and applications in a unified Android 4.4 kit
kat environment. A high-performance quad-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU and octo-core
GPU provide the processing power this set top box. The default DRAM is 2GB and
Flash is 8GB. However, both can be upgraded or downgraded. Besides,
DV7810-T2/S2/IS equips with 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless connectivity operating at
2.4 or 5GHz frequencies, allowing consumers use mobile devices to connect Wi-Fi
and wireless share screens.
H.265 hardware
decoding and 4K UHD are hot topics right now. The future of video would be 4K
or even 8K. Operators are wanting set top boxes with high-end features like 4K
while also needing cost-effective entry-level STB. At the same time, more and
more operators requires DRM and the middleware HbbTV, so SDMC designed DV7810-T2/S2/IS,
which can meet all the above demands the price competitively.
