The latest product from Amlogic is its new Amlogic S905 SoC, which is increasingly popular in OTT/IPTV set-top boxes (STB). It features of 4K@60fps hardware decoding with HDMI 2.0 output appears. SDMC’s new OTT/IPTV STB DV8120 is powered by Amlogic S905 SoC.
Better than Amlogic S812 OTT/IPTV STB DV7819, which support 4K output @30fps, SDMC Amlogic S905 OTT STB features true 4K at 60 fps with 60Hz output. However, both of them support mainstream DRM, such as Google’s Widevine, Microsoft PlayReady, Verimatrix, and Marlin.
SDMC new Amlogic S905 OTT STB has HDMI 2.0 and runs on Android 5.1.
