SDMC Android TV Stick is powered by an Amlogic S905Y4 SoC comprising a quad-core Cortex-A35 CPU and ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, with AV1 hardware decoding support that offers up to 30% better compression than H.265. It provides a cost-effective 4K OTT solution for operators who aims to expand their 4K product offerings and replace outdated platforms to meet the updated demanding requirements of Android TV. Since Google required all Android TV devices launching on Android 11 should support AV1 decoding. Besides, Netflix has started streaming AV1 encoded
content to some of its subscribers, while YouTube already uses this codec for streaming content on supported devices.
On the connectivity front, the streaming stick supports the latest and fastest in wireless internet technology ( Wi-Fi 6) with dual 2.4/5 GHz and Bluetooth 5.0. It features high frame rate HDR with Dolby Vision, Google Assistant as well as Chromecast built-in. In addition to offering access to operator’s services, the 4K Android TV stick allows users to download 7000+ third-party applications including YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney Plus from Google Play Store with Android TV 11.
As for the device itself, the design of SDMC's 4K Smart TV Stick is very minimal and compact. Users can plug it directly into an HDMI port and tuck neatly behind their TVs. It’s perfectly portable to stream almost anywhere.
